In Episode 215, Part II, I continue my conversation with Christine Capelouto about her daughter, Alex’s death by 1/2 of one tablet of oxycontin laced with fentanyl and delve into her activism to seek justice for her family and others.
Christine goes into depth about Alex, her growing up years, her struggles with depression and much more.
When Alex ordered the pill from a drug dealer online at SnapChat, she had no idea that the pain pill she expected had enough fentanyl in it to kill her.
And in this second part, she talks about finding Alex, trying to revive her, as well as the events afterward. We also discussed her and her husband, Matt’s activism to bring justice to the drug dealer as well as work with Congressman Darryl Issa to push for a law in California so more will be done to those pushing this illegal substance.
