In Episode 194, I speak with Amy Neville, who founded the Alexander Neville Foundation after the fentanyl poisoning death of her son at the age of 14.
We speak extensively about Alexander’s growing up years, how her family is coping with his death, her own grief and especially about the amazing advocacy work she is doing to create awareness and to educate young people and their parents about the danger of fentanyl.
She has also made herself available to speak both one-on-one with bereaved parents and those who have questions, but also in the community helping them better understand how deadly this drug is and how dealers use social media to get this illicit, illegal and counterfeit drug into the hands of our young people.
Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death in 15-48 year olds.
