In Episode 218, in Part I, I welcome Chris Didier of VOID: Victims of Illicit Drugs, as he shares the tragic death of his 17 year-old son Zach to one pill of fentanyl.

Chris and Zach Didier in Paris, 2019.

We speak about Chris’ family’s early years and Zach’s exceptional accomplishments for a 17 year-old. Amazing.

Here is clip of Zach, just a short time before he died, playing piano with his precious dog, Jake singing in the background.

To help others, Chris is a member of the board of VOID: Victims of Illicit Drugs – https://www.StopTheVoid.org where the outstanding documentary “Dead on Arrival” will help others better understand the tragedy of this fentanyl crisis and how it affects families who children have died from this illicit illegal opioid drug.

Death By Fentanyl Podcast Series | Rebecca Kiessling’s 2 Sons Killed Same Evening | Part II

#fentanyl #opioids #grief #fentanylpoisoning

In Episode 217, in Part II, I continue my discussion with Rebecca Kiessling about the fentanyl deaths of her two sons on the same evening on July 29, 2020.

Rebecca has endured incredible sorrow, not only from the deaths of Caleb, 20 and Kyler, 18 who both died on the same night from fentanyl, but she also had two miscarriages and the death of a special needs child who died at 33 days old.

She is very active in the fentanyl awareness community, attending the Lost Voices of Fentanyl Rally in Washington, DC each year.

She is also a pro-life lawyer who advocates for those who have been raped and later find themselves pregnant, a cause close to her heart, as she was conceived in rape.

She speaks around the world 50 to 75 times each year advocating for pregnant woman and also helps in the legal process so the fathers do not gain parental rights of the baby.

New Year New You 2024

In Episode 213, we look at the new year, what we have planned for ourselves and how to focus on the positive in our lives even though we are still grieving.

When the New Year approaches we tend to take stock of the last year and consider new goals that will serve us, especially when we are grieving.

In this episode, we journal through each area of our lives, emotional, physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, financial and more so we can look at what we truly want in our lives.

Then we get to start moving toward those goals.

And, yes, even when we are hurting. Even if it seems impossible.

Because if we don’t have something to look forward to, we will sink into the blues and I don’t want that for you.

Take the time to listen in and take the time to set a plan for 2024.

If you’d like to listen in on youtube, you can click here.

Additional Notes:

If you are having an especially difficult time emotionally, I recommend you speak with a specialist at a hotline near you. Here you will find hotlines all around the world. Trained counselors are there to listen, free of charge, to what’s going on with you. Take advantage of their great kindness. Vent with an objective individual. You don’t have to be ‘suicidal’ to call them, but if you are, that’s the best place to call. Don’t hesitate!

In the United States, you can call 988 from any place and they’ll connect you to the closest hotline.

For parents and teens, there is an amazing resource where you can email or text counselors for help at The Boys Town National Hotline! Outstanding assistance for your children and you – 800.448.3000 or text 20121.

Visit Julie Schiffman as she taps on Ring in the New Year. Follow her as she taps to release so many emotions.

Here are some meditation music to help you rest.

You can order your Bach’s Rescue Remedy from most health food stores, either in person or online. Remember, these do have alcohol in them.

I use the Rescue Remedy 20ml drops but they have spray and other versions which might work better for you. And…they also have products to calm pets, too.

Grab my free ebook, 21 Things You Need to Know About the Grieving Process, right here on my site.

Please share with anyone who may need to know this. Also subscribe, rate and review this podcast on whichever podcast platform you listened in.

Much love as you begin this new year. May it be filled with much happiness, peace, prosperity, great health and comfort.

xoxo

Christmas Message 2023

In Episode 212, I send along my Christmas message to you and encourage your bravery to look at what you are grateful for today instead of only looking at your losses.

And remember, never chase after people who have chose to exit your life because their season is over.

I also ask you to write a letter to your loved one, tell them all the things you never got to say, perhaps things that are still swimming around in your head.

If you haven’t already done so, I’d ask that you please subscribe, share, rate, review and like the podcast. This helps us reach more people.

If my podcast has helped you, I would appreciate your supporting it with any donation you can at this time. Please visit https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=DN22KFWSZ8XY8

Wishing you a blessed Christmas. Know that I’m sending much love to you wherever you find yourself in this world! xoxo

P.S. If you need help today, go to my Crisis Resources tab at the top of my website www.marymac.info and call someone to talk to. They are wonderful people who are trained to listen to your pain. Use them, please. Don’t suffer needlessly. If you are in the United States, you can call 988 from any state.
