Introducing Mena the Glorious Butterfly | A Very Special Book to Help Grieving Children After a Loved One’s Death

As I sit here for the past ten minutes trying to figure out how to share my newest creation with you, I find tears rolling down my cheeks.

Of all the books I’ve written, this one, this one, means the most to me.

In this volatile world, children everywhere are grieving the deaths of those closest to them. Most in silence.

Over 68 million people die or are killed each year in this world. Imagine how many millions more young ones are suffering trying to understand what has happened.

If you look at your own life, especially if you experienced the death of someone significant early in life, you know how lost you felt, how confused everything seemed, and especially where that person went.

We expect adults to have these answers.  But in their own grief, they usually don’t.

So young ones, even older ones, never really feel heard or settled about the death of someone close.

They carry that pain through childhood and into adulthood clouding relationships and affecting careers.

And if that person’s death was sudden or even violent in the case of suicide, homicide, even military deaths, it becomes that much more difficult to explain to children.

I’ve been helping adults and children navigate grief for over 40 years. Oh boy…long time.

I’ve experienced more than my share of deaths in my life. Way too many.

And each took a piece of my soul.

I wrote this book back in 2007. It wasn’t until this year that I had the ability to publish it.

I’m very grateful for that.

It’s taken very long days and weekends, fully focused on getting this out to our young ones.

Many times it was 1 step ahead, 2 or 3 steps back.  Yet my goal was undeterred.

So here she is…Mena.

She flies into the lives of Victoria whose sister has died and Matthew whose father has died.

She brings comfort, tenderness, answers their questions and helps them to know they are not alone.

I want her to touch the lives of children around the globe.

I want her to grace the personal bookshelf of every home long before tragedy strikes because children deserves support immediately after a death occurs.

My challenge to you is to spread the word about Mena’s mission.

It took 48 pages to get all the guidance I wanted to share into this legacy keepsake book.

The first page gives an opportunity to personalize her with the name of the child you are giving her to. (This book is especially for…)

You can read the press release which gives much more information and the reviews which are quite powerful.

If you’d like to provide a review for her page here, you can do so by sending it in the contact form. Even your young ones can send in their reviews.

Mostly, I hope you’ll share her with families you know who would benefit from this knowledge and comfort.
