The Mary Mac Show | Remembering The Good

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

In Episode 151, we discuss how we remember our loved ones who have died and the need to look at the good instead of the sorrowful memories.

After the death of a loved one, we spending a great amount of energy as we deal with our pain and sorrow.

And as the years go by, we may find ourselves still stuck in that state.

Yet, it’s not physically and emotionally healthy to allow ourselves to do this.

One way to help us lift ourselves up is to remember the good about the person we loved.

Remember the special moments with them.

Release more of the difficult, painful memories you had with them so you can feel lighter.

Everything that you shared together is in the past and while it’s hard to hear, nothing will change that relationship.

All you can do is take the time to remember the softer moments, fun times, the happier times.

If you do what I recommend at the end of each podcast, to write 5 things each night in your gratitude journal, you will soon see that you feel better.

You will see that your outlook on life lifts for the better.

Right now, with everything that is going on in the world, and add to that your bereavement, it is very important that you do this.

Take the time you need to uplift yourself each day by journaling and remembering moments in your relationship that you are grateful for.

Remember to be good to yourself, my warrior. Let others help you.

Understanding The Power of Faith | The Mary Mac Show

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

In Episode 149, we discuss how to use faith to help us as we navigate through the uncertainties of life.

No matter what you think of God, it always amazes me that when a person has difficulty or is in shock over something that happened in their life, they will usually say “Oh My God!”

I believe that inherently we know where we’ve come from. And that is the God, the Creator who formed us.

As me move into this uncertain world ahead, I want you to become stronger in your faith so you can weather the storms that are on the horizon.

Now you may not believe in God, or you might be so angry with Him for what He did or didn’t do when it came to the death of your loved one.

But no matter how you feel, the comfort He can provide is unlike anything a human can give.

So listen in to Episode 149 and learn how to use your faith to get you through the death of your loved one and the crises that are coming our way.

Bless you my friend.
xoxo

Preparing For An Uncertain Future | The Mary Mac Show

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

In Episode 148, we discuss the uncertainties in our world, inflation, home and food prices, unstable governments, and how we must reevaluate what is important to us and how to cope when we have little control over our new world.

The world we once knew is no longer available to us.

We will never see the way we lived in 2019 again.

And you might be feeling overwhelmed and upset that we have to deal with all this when we are also grieving for that special person in our lives.

It’s just so unfair.

But we can no longer act like this is not happening.

People who hold the power in governments have created these scenarios, mostly for their own gain and benefit.

They weren’t interested in helping their citizens have a better life.

Instead they have an agenda they wish to see played out and it’s hurting all of us.

And we’ll see get even worse in the months to come.

In Episode 148, I want to help you better understand what is upon us and consider ways to help you become stronger in mind, body, spirit and knowledge.

Bless you, my Warrior!

The Mary Mac Show | An Uncertain Future

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

In Episode 145, we consider the impending changes in our world and how they might affect us as we grieve our loved one’s death.

We, unfortunately, don’t have the luxury of sinking into our own grief as we once did.

We are dealing with inflation causing everything to cost more, possible job layoffs, increased demands on our time from family and friends who have not prepared themselves for the future and so much more.

It would be much better if we didn’t have to be exposed to this. Just live our lives with no interference from government.

But that’s not how things are developing around us.

So it’s important to be aware, do a deep dive on your financial, physical, and even spiritual health so you can continue to grow strong and be confident in the future for yourself and your family.

Listen in to Episode 145 to learn more.

Bless you, my Warrior!

The Mary Mac Show | Death of Dory’s Father II

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

In Episode 140, I continued my discussion with Dory Fier of Indianapolis, IN, a pediatric social worker, who shares with us the terminal diagnosis her father received and his nine-month battle with an inoperable brain tumor.

In this second of two episodes, Dory and I delve deeply into how she dealt with the aftermath of his death and the physical symptoms that appeared for her.

We discuss how she wished she had taken advantage of the support system that wanted to help her and was grateful for those who did offer her assistance.

We also spoke about the difference between grieving an anticipatory death vs. a sudden death and her thoughts on that.

I am so grateful for the time Dory spent with me and I believe her courage to share this experience will benefit and bless you whether you are going through this struggle now or may in the future.

Much Love to Dory and her family!

xoxo
