The Mary Mac Show | Honoring Our Loved Ones on their Birthday and Anniversary of their Death

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

In this week’s episode we look at how we can help ourselves as we approach their birthday and the anniversary of their death each year.

In the first several years, this can be a source of dread, panic and anxiety mostly because you aren’t sure how you will handle it, what you will do, what plans you should make, if any, and what the world, your family and even yourself expects on these days.

You might be surprised to learn the thoughts in our head leading up to that day may have trumped what will really happen for you.

We have these images in our head and often the day of their birthday or anniversary is not as horrific as you made it out to be.

So be kind to yourself and listen in to Episode 44 to learn various ways you can help yourself as you approach their special days.

The Mary Mac Show | The Power of Forgiveness

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

This week we speak about a difficult and painful subject. Forgiving others and ourselves is something that few want to talk about and less want to do.

But when unforgiveness is left to fester inside for a long time, it can lead to emotional, physical and spiritual strife which does not serve us well.

And, yes, this topic may be too early in your grieving process and I can understand that. But do take the time to learn what can happen when we let things build causing all kinds of havoc on our mind, body and spirit.

Join me in listening in to Episode 43 to take a look at what happens when we are unable or unwilling to forgive and how it affects us.

Tapping to Release Fear of Corona Virus

With so much panic and fear bursting out in the world over the Corona Virus, I thought I’d lend a wonderful video by my favorite practitioner of The Emotional Freedom Technique, Brad Yates.

Know as EFT or Tapping, we use this process to tap on the meridian lines of our bodies which run north to south, to help with emotional and physical pain.

Right now it’s very important that we stay calm which will keep our immune system strong.

When we are laced with fear, anxiety and panic we reduce our immune system and this we don’t want.

If you’ve never seen this before, I’m sure you think it’s quite silly. But, believe me, it’s not.

It has helped me and millions of people all around the world to live an emotionally stable life without the use of drugs, legal or illegal, to comfort us and keep us moving forward in life.

Whatever you are dealing with, EFT is the way to go!

Below is a specific tapping round by Brad Yates to help you deal with whatever may be going on for you regarding the corona virus outbreak.

If you need to do the tapping round several times before you feel better, then do so.

You can do it each morning and evening and anytime in between. It’s a valuable tool for your mental health.

If you are dealing with other issues, you would do well to visit Brad’s YouTube Channel for anything that ails you.

And if you wish to find more tapping sessions with Brad regarding emotional challenges, visit my podcast, The Mary Mac Show, where I have various videos ties to many of my episodes.  You will find the links in the show notes.

Blessings to you!  Be wise.

The Mary Mac Show | Are We Ever Prepared?

The Mary Mac Show PodcastNo matter when we ourselves die or when someone we love dies, are we ever truly prepared?

We might think if we had a longer time to think about our death or someone else’s, as in the case of a terminal or chronic illness, that somehow it will be easier because we expected it.

And we might think that if someone died suddenly from a tragic accident, murder, suicide, military or law enforcement death or natural disaster like hurricane, flood, etc., somehow that would be an even more difficult death to live with.

But chances are good, we won’t be satisfied with how they died or the timing of their death. We still want them here with us regardless how they died and when.

And if they were reckless, that adds to the drama.

One of the most important things I want this podcast to achieve is what I’ve always wanted for the people I’ve helped for over three decades. And that is to help you become more emotionally stable during your grieving process.

I want you to learn skills on how to help yourself function better.

In this episode I introduce you to Brad Yates, who practices EFT, the Emotional Freedom Technique, which I strongly recommend you learn for all your emotional needs. He has helped me tremendously over the years and you will be so amazed at what it can do for you! (More links in the show notes.)

Grief is messy but I want you to gain as much control as possible.
