The Mary Mac Show | Unnecessary Deaths

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

This week in Episode 30, we discuss the irresponsible acts that individuals take that lead to their own deaths or the deaths of others and how we are left to cope with their recklessness.

When someone in our family or a friend commits a reckless act, it can lead to tragedy.

Whether that act causes others’ deaths or their own, it leaves the surviving families distraught, overwhelmed with feelings of remorse, regret, bitterness, guilt, and many other emotions.

In Episode 26, we look at various ways to comfort a friend or relative who is dealing with the extreme fallout caused by the death of a loved one.

We collapse into the arms of someone we feel safe with. Someone we can cry our eyes out with; someone who will not judge us for how it all comes out of us.

Is that you?

Have you ever done that for someone who was completely overwhelmed after someone they loved died?

Well in today’s episode, I talk about how to help someone who really needs you.

Someone who needs a safe place to just let it all out.

The overwhelming sorrow and the overwhelming anger.

The Mary Mac Show | Permission To Move Forward

The Mary Mac Show Podcast

In Episode 24, we look at giving ourselves permission to grieve and, simultaneously, consider what we can do which will bring us joy again. Each day, in a small way, we are rebuilding a new life, even if we don’t want to.

At some point, when the shock has subsided and you begin to realize that this is your new life, you take a long hard look in the mirror and decide you will become a victim or a victor.

Each one of us has that choice.

And while it’s definitely not an easy choice, it’s one that needs to be made.

Because there is no doubt you will miss your loved one terribly, but at the same time, you don’t have to give up your life because they are no longer here.

Now, you might wish that you could trade places, but that’s not possible.

And you might wish you didn’t have to go through this because you still can’t believe they’ve died or were killed.

But whether we like it or not, each day we wake up we are slowly making a new life for ourselves with the decisions we make all day long.

In this episode, we discuss that new road you are carving out for yourself.

Like it or not.

The Mary Mac Show | Coronavirus | The Possibility of Dying

The Mary Mac Show PodcastOne of the most disconcerting facts about this Coronavirus, besides the fact that so many around the world have been infected and affected financially and socially, is the thought that we might have to consider we ourselves might die.

No one is ever prepared to think about their own death.

We go about our business each and every day and until someone in our life becomes ill, or even has a sudden death, dying is not something that normally comes up for us.

But this is an unprecedented time in history. The last time something like this happened with the Spanish Flu was 1918 and the majority of our population wasn’t even alive then.

So while it may be a very uncomfortable thing to talk about and to address, I took the bold step to openly talk about this issue, whether we like it or not.

In Episode 18, I delve deep into preparing yourself to die and all that goes with it.

I don’t leave anything out.

I speak candidly about what might happened, given our circumstances now, if we get very ill from the coronavirus and cannot recover.

Please build the courage you need to listen in.

It’s definitely morbid and uncomfortable.

It’s real.

It’s raw.

It’s authentic.

Be well, be safe. Much Love. xoxo
